Rare Reproduction Corgi Model Club Wall’s Ford Thames Ice Cream Van M/B

In a bid to lure customers in 2021 to its newly created series of reproduction collectable Corgi Models, the ‘Corgi Model Club’ chose to reproduce the Wall’s Ford Thames Ice-Cream ‘musical version’ (No.474). The problem being “It was too expensive to make,” commented a company spokesperson. “This model was never part of the collection and was a special introductory offer only. Essentially, it was our way of testing the market, to see if the Corgi Model Club was viable.”

Perhaps, only a thousand or so were produced due to it being “a financial loss-leader” and production was stopped over a year ago. Yet, due to public demand, the company is again reproducing the model for release in January, 2023, but at a far higher price of £49.99 + p&p.

This 1st reproduction boxed model is in excellent condition and comes with its certificate and accessories.
