By leaving an absentee bid

If you would like to leave an absentee bid, you can do so by first creating an account and leaving an absentee bid on the lot.

Timed Auctions

Lots can be bid on at any point before the end of the auction. Once the auction starts to close, bidding will stop on lots in 30 second intervals. To avoid bid sniping, last second bids will extend the closing time of the lot by another 5 minutes. This potentially means that lot 1, for example, may end after lots 2,3,4 etc if someone places a last second bid on lot 1. This often catches people out while they are waiting for lot 1 to end. They don't realise lots 2, 3, 4 etc have already ended. As you can imagine, by the end of the auction the cumulative effect of this is like watching 100 spinning plates.
Therefore, our strong advice is make sure you place your bids early to avoid disappointment.
The auctioneer may reduce the reserve (auctioneer’s discretion) at any given time and the highest bid at this time will be the winning bid – even if stated the "reserve has not been met" at time of placing the bid.
